Dear Faithful Friends and Supporters of Camp Northfield,
Thank you to those who attended our 2023 Pancake Breakfast! It was a wonderful morning of great food and awesome fundraising! Thanks to the generous donations of those who attended and those who gave, we raised $4,800 towards our Spring Fundraising Project! We raised enough to purchase a new sign for our main entrance and see the Game Room renovation nearly to completion! Our God is good and always provides what we need, when we need it!
We will continue to see how the Lord provides through our next fundraising event of the season - the Hilltop Challenge! On April 29, you can join Tom and others as they run to raise funds for Camp. Just as in years past, you are welcome to run here at Camp or right where you are! See our website to sign up for free or for more information, including a pledge sheet for your use.
As the snow slowly melts off the hill and birds to start to sing, we are faced with the long list of tasks to get Camp back up and operational after a long winter! Stay tuned for dates regarding work days scheduled for May here at Camp, and continue to pray for the volunteers that have already started some small projects.
As the summer season quickly approaches, we are happy to announce that many of our staff positions have been filled! However, there are many yet to be filled. Below you will find a list of open positions and some minor information on each.
Please be in prayer as the positions listed in bold are historically difficult to fill. We know our Lord always provides and He is in control of all things. Last year, we were met with the need to close down registration for several weeks of Camp not for lack of space, but rather for lack of Counselors. Would you pray with us that the Lord would provide four Girl Counselors and two more Boy Counselors so that we can fill to capacity this summer?
Being on staff is a life changing opportunity for these young men and women. They are expected to work hard and give it their all, but receive so much in return! Our volunteer staff members are provided with free room and board as well as a small love gift at the end of each week. Staff members should plan to arrive at Camp on June 21 and stay through the summer until either July 29 or August 4. 4 Girls Counselors - must be at least 18 years old or a H.S. graduate
2 Boys Counselors - must be at least 18 years old or a H.S. graduate
2 Girls Junior Counselors - must be at least 16 years old
1 Girls Staff Member - must be at least 14 years old
Head Cook - must be at least 18 years old and have prior kitchen experience
Nurse - must be a MA licensed LPN or RN, needed for the weeks of 7/3-7/8, 7/10 -
7/15, and 7/31 - 8/4
Registration for our 2023 season is officially open! You will find information for each camping week, including dates, speakers, and pricing on our website. You will also find the dates for all of our upcoming events including Ladies Retreat, the Hilltop Challenge, Men's Retreat and the (new this year) Fall Festival! Come join us this season - we'd love to have you!
