Camp Northfield Update 5/23

Dear Faithful Friends and Supporters of Camp Northfield,

We want to thank those who gave to our 2023 Spring Fundraiser. By God's grace we were able to raise nearly $10,000 and counting towards our $12,000 goal. On April 29, we had 13 individuals run (and/ or walk!) to raise funds during our 2023 Hilltop Challenge. Despite the rain, everyone had a

great time and left without major injury or incident. Praise God!

There are many things happening here at Camp as we prepare for the 2023 camping season! Some things to pray for: safety for the volunteers completing projects, timely installation of the new main entrance sign, fulfillment of all staff positions - particularly the need for Counselors, and camper registrations to continue to come in!

We are praising the Lord that many of our staffing needs have been met - including the need for a nurse! God has always provided in His timing, and will continue to do so! Our girls and boys staff positions are full, and we have ample auxiliary support staff to fill in where needed. However, we are currently in need of two more Girls Counselors and two more Boys Counselors. We are accepting camper applications in complete faith that the Lord will meet this need. Would you please pray with us that this need by met soon?

What else can you do? You can spread the word! If there are young men or women in your life or church who are over the age of 18 or a high school graduate and love the Lord, ask them if they have considered serving at Camp Northfield this summer!

Or perhaps, you fall in that category yourself. Have you considered what the Lord could do through you this summer? Being a Camp Counselor is a challenging, yet uniquely rewarding opportunity. Allow the Lord to do a great work in your heart and life this summer as you serve Him at Camp! If you would like more information or have any questions, please email Christi at regsitration@campnorthfield.com

Mark your calendars for our Spring Work Week, May 22 - 27. We were blessed last year with several volunteers who came out to help us prepare Camp for the summer season. There will be work for all age groups and skill sets. If you and your famiy would like to attend, please reach out to Tom at office@campnorthfield.com by May 15 and he will provide more details on lodging, food, etc. We look forward to seeing how much we can all accomplish!

Interior Cleaning ~ Landscape Work ~ Gardening ~ Removal of downed trees ~ Painting ~ Sewing ~ Set up ~ Brush Removal ~ and More!

Ladies! Plan now to attend our 2023 Ladies Retreat! It will begin on Friday, June 2 around 5 pm and will conclude on Saturday afternoon. Our Ladies Retreat is always an incredible time of fellowship, relaxation, fun, and growth! Our speaker this year is Mrs. Kim Hayman from Pilgrim Baptist Church. She is a gifted speaker and counselor and is excited to share with you from God's Word how you are uniquely and wonderfully made!

Perhaps you are unable to devote the entire weekend, but would still like to attend. Simply choose "Friday only" or "Saturday only" upon registering and feel free to join us for just one day!

There will be three chapel sessions throughout the weekend, three amazing home-cooked meals, a time of smaller break out sessions, and an optional group craft. Whether you are attending with a group of ladies from your church or on your own, we can guarantee that your weekend will be life changing! There will be more detailed information regarding the schedule, workshop sessions, and craft available on our website the week prior to the event.

Praise the Lord, registrations have been pouring in for this event! As it currently stands, we have only 2 rooms left in our Hilltop Lodge. All other future registrants will room in a Cabin - experiencing Camp Northfield in it's truest form!

We are excited to announce that the Lord has blessed our family with another child! Christi is due late November. Please pray with us for a healthy pregnancy and baby. We are so thankful for God's goodness and blessings on our family and can think of no better place to raise a family then the hills of Camp Northfield!

We are looking forward with eager anticipation to the coming summer season. We are confident the Lord will do a great work in the hearts of campers and staff. "To God be the glory, great things He hath done" - and will do!
