Church Families & Friends of Camp Northfield, We are excited and ready to jump into our 2022 season! This year's theme is "FEARLESS". I think it's safe to say that in the past two years, we've all been struck with fear at some point. Unfortunately, our children are not immune to that fear. Though this world gives us plenty of things to be afraid of, our God is bigger than it all! Psalm 27:1 says "The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" We pray the Lord's blessings on this season here at Camp Northfield. It's our desire to see these precious souls rest in the power of His peace!
After a few delays, we were thankful to be able to host the 2021 Christmas Banquets last month. The fellowship was sweet as we joined together in celebration of our Savior's birth! Thank you to those who donated items into our annual auction! $2,477 was raised for our Camp Scholarship Fund! That's enough to send 8 campers to a week of camp! Thank you to those who helped in the weeks leading up to the banquets, and on the weekend itself. We're so thankful for each and every one of you! Arctic Blast is right around the corner! Join us on February 5th for this annual day of winter fun! You can anticipate an epic slide down Camp's steepest slopes, a freezing game of football, and of course, the annual snow sculpting contest! We introduced a new event last year, the first ever "Hilltop Challenge!" We are excited to be hosting it once again in April of this year, but will 'run' it a little differently. We want everyone to be able to join in the blessing of raising support for Camp in this way, so we are hosting this fundraiser here at Camp as well as remotely! Pastors, if you are interested in having Camp's ministry presented at your church, please contact us soon. We are booked for the spring months, but have plenty of openings for this fall. On that same note, if your church is located within an hour's drive of Northfield, and you would like to host the Camp Northfield Ministry Team during the summer, please contact us. This is a wonderful way Camp's Staff can minister to our supporting churches!
We are accepting applications for summer staff! If you know of a high school to college-aged young person who would benefit from serving on staff, point them in the direction of our website! Pastors, encourage your young people to get busy serving! Oftentimes the financial needs of the individual make serving at Camp a difficult decision. Perhaps your church can help "sponsor" these young people. Praise the Lord, we already have several leadership positions filled! *Historically, this position is difficult to fill. Please be in much prayer that we find a nurse for each camping week. Without one, we can't have campers! We are continuing to raise money for our Pool Project. The fund hasn't changed much since our last update, we are still at $5,525 of the $60,000 needed to fund this project in it's entirety. Please be praying these monies are raised soon so we can bring back the camper's favorite activity! An effective way to raise these funds is for our supporting churches to host fundraising events or collect special offerings. We know with the Lord's help we can quickly see this project completed! Last year, Camp was richly blessed with donations off of our Amazon Supply List. We have updated the list for this coming season, and will continue to do so as needs arise.
